Buzzword burnout
I’m going to come out and say it; I hate corporate language. It gives me the creeps.
I don't know if it's because I've spent the last four months crafting presentations to pitch a tool at a time when budgets are already allocated, but if I have to write “tailored solution”, “meeting the set objectives and requirements” or “AI powered” one more time, I might just hurl my keyboard out of the window and join a monastery.
The whole time, I keep asking myself: Who cares? Who actually reads all this? And what does it even mean, in the grand scheme of things? I feel like I’m a kid at the grown-ups’ table, not getting why any of this matters and why people are getting worked up.
My team is literally debating whether to use ‘solution’ or ‘experience’ in a sentence. Am I losing my sanity, or has my environment gone mad? Who writes like this?
I need a detox cure—a true escape from business jargon. If any of you have suggestions to help this weary soul, I'm all ears.
Exasperated greetings,
Rat
